The West Desert

Just west and south of the Great Salt Lake is Utah’s West Desert. The West Desert is full of life, colors, and great stretches of desert wilderness. A lot of people go out to shoot things in the West Desert so there are many signs about what you can shoot and to make sure to clean up after yourself. When I say shoot things, it isn’t like hunting. People go out and shoot cans, bottles, targets, watermelons, toilets. I don’t see the appeal myself but those same people probably don’t see the appeal of yarn.

I want to capture the colors somehow. They are so beautiful.
