A few weeks ago I submitted two of my knitted designs to the "'12 Utah Craft and Photography" exhibition. It is an exhibit sponsored by the Utah Arts Council and the Utah Division of Arts and Museums. I found out last week that both pieces were accepted...and just found out today that I got a Juror's Award! This is big news for me. First to have my pieces recognized but also to have knitting recognized as a legitimate art form in an art exhibition. Good news all around. And the cash prize was not too bad either.
The two pieces I submitted were the Salt Flats Scarf and the Salt Bracelet. Here are some photos of the exhibition. If anyone who reads this (all two of you!) live in Salt Lake, it's worth a trip to the Rio Grande Gallery to see the exhibition.
