Jasmine Sidewinder Stole

I had so much fun making this stole, and of course I love Jasmine Sidewinder. I finished it faster than I thought, mainly because the stripes make it easy to just get one more done before bed. My colleague from work, Iris, was kind enough to model it for me in front of the artwork.

I finished it just in time for the heat of summer when the Museum is at its coldest. We always have to bundle up in the summer just to stay warm in the air-conditioned building. This stole is the perfect summer wrap.

The pattern is on my pattern page for free. I didn’t feel right charging for a pattern that was essentially designed (at least color-wise) by Gene Davis. If anyone out there makes one of these, I hope you enjoy the process as much as I did.

  1. This is really beautiful Virginia. I first saw this on Craftsy, I believe, and not at this site; I had to search for this site cause I choose one of your patterns to start my Christmas gift - it's the Wild rye Poncho. My g/niece is in High school and will go crazy for that pattern done up in purple/ mauve, her favorite colour. I have a question about the pattern, although I think I may have it figured out. After much search for an e-mail address for you, I could only dig this up. If it's not too much trouble, could you give me a quick e-mail response...I have tried reading through the full pattern and wanted more than anything to have a quick e-mail "chat" so that I can confirm that my interpretation is in fact correct... and time is of essence for me, cause in that family alone there are 4 persons to do Christmas gifts for; mittens & toque; vest and mittens; hat and cowl... it's best that I start now or more so from last month, cause I have a 9-5 job, and knitting would not be allowed on the job, but I do a number of rows on my lunch hour, though (smile. Please, I would be honoured to hear back from you. My e-mail address is inganum445.ir@gmail.com and I live in Ontario, Canada. You are a very talented lady Virginia, and I do love your patterns and use of colour. My niece is getting the Haloarchaea mitten to go with the Poncho. Hope to hear from you soon.
