Salt Swatches

The two yarns I am using for the salt jewelry are very different, but both beautiful. I created some swatches for a geometric pattern using a small bobble and some yarn overs.

This is the paper yarn:

This is the silk/stainless yarn:

They both use essentially the same pattern but the paper is created along the long side (I cast on 20 stitches) and the silk/stainless is created along the short side (I cast on 5 stitches). I like how they both turned out so completely different using the same stitch. I also like how they look like free form sketches-- as if I were drawing with knitting needles.
